On 1st May, 2024, the Federal Open Market Committee has decided to maintain the target interest rate at 5.25-5.50%.

To see the impact and volatility of TAO's price during the Fed Interest Rate release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 5,645 TAO with prices swinging between 354.40 and 370.10, representing a swing of 4.24%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased considerably by 55% to 8,732 TAO. Price action ranged from a low of 368.60 to a high of 391.00, a difference of 5.73%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 410 TAO in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 365.00 to a high of 370.10, a 1.38% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased significantly by 183% to 1,162 TAO. At this time, Bittensor hit a low of 368.60 with a high of 380.10, a significant change of 3.03%.
