On 10th December, 2025, the Federal Open Market Committee has decided to decrease the interest rate by 25 basis points for a target interest rate at 3.75-4.0%.

To see the impact and volatility of TAO's price during the Fed Interest Rate release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 14,739 TAO with prices swinging between 294.70 and 303.00, representing a swing of 2.74%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased significantly by 260% to 53,113 TAO. Price action ranged from a low of 295.20 to a high of 311.80, a significant difference of 5.32%

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 1,166 TAO in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 297.60 to a high of 301.10, a 1.16% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased significantly by 448% to 6,390 TAO. At this time, Bittensor hit a low of 295.60 with a high of 303.20, a significant change of 2.51%.
