On 21st September, 2022, the Federal Open Market Committee has decided to increase the interest rate by 75 basis points for a target interest rate at 2.25-2.50%.

Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 70,223 BTC with prices swinging between 19,084.17 and 19,897.00, representing a swing of 4.09%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased considerably by 91% to 134,246 BTC. Price action ranged from a low of 18,325.00 to a high of 19,956.00, a significant difference of 8.17%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 7,027 BTC in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 19,435.00 to a high of 19,897.00, a 2.32% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased significantly by 203% to 21,328 BTC. At this time, Bitcoin hit a low of 18,666.00 with a high of 19,956.00, a significant change of 6.46%.
