On 30th July, 2025, the Federal Open Market Committee has decided to maintain the target interest rate at 4.25-4.50%.

To see the impact and volatility of ETH's price during the Fed Interest Rate release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 76,301 ETH with prices swinging between 3,764.05 and 3,832.00, representing a swing of 1.77%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased significantly by 136% to 179,930 ETH. Price action ranged from a low of 3,677.65 to a high of 3,822.00, a significant difference of 3.78%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 2,593 ETH in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 3,798.69 to a high of 3,813.22, a 0.38% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased significantly by 374% to 12,291 ETH. At this time, Ethereum hit a low of 3,779.87 with a high of 3,822.00, a significant change of 1.10%.
