HBAR Volatility Analysis for PCE, 25th February 2022

The data released by Bureau of Economic Analysis for Personal Consumption Expenditures on 25th February, 2022 has come in at a decrease to 0.5% for January 2022. Compared to the previous release for December 2021 at 0.6%, we can see that prices & inflation is still increasing but slowed month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of HBAR's price during the PCE release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 12.284M HBAR with prices swinging between 0.208700 and 0.224100, representing a swing of 6.87%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased considerably by 67% to 20.547M HBAR. Price action ranged from a low of 0.217900 to a high of 0.243000, a significant difference of 10.33%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 629,730 HBAR in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 0.220800 to a high of 0.221900, a 0.50% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased by 47% to 925,154 HBAR. At this time, Hedera hit a low of 0.221100 with a high of 0.224400, a significant change of 1.47%.
