The data released by Bureau of Economic Analysis for Personal Consumption Expenditures on 28th February, 2025 has come in at an increase to 0.4% for January 2025. Compared to the previous release for December 2024 at 0.3%, we can see that prices & inflation is increasing month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of HBAR's price during the PCE release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 57.362M HBAR with prices swinging between 0.185630 and 0.192160, representing a swing of 3.40%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased significantly by 111% to 120.798M HBAR. Price action ranged from a low of 0.190080 to a high of 0.209990, a significant difference of 9.48%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 5.044M HBAR in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 0.189730 to a high of 0.192050, a 1.21% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased significantly by 177% to 13.967M HBAR. At this time, Hedera hit a low of 0.190080 with a high of 0.196320, a significant change of 3.18%.
