HBAR Volatility Analysis for PCE, 27th January 2023

The data released by Bureau of Economic Analysis for Personal Consumption Expenditures on 27th January, 2023 has come in at a decrease to 0.2% for December 2022. Compared to the previous release for November 2022 at 0.3%, we can see that prices & inflation is still increasing but slowed month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of HBAR's price during the PCE release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 14.46M HBAR with prices swinging between 0.067200 and 0.068600, representing a swing of 2.04%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased by 15% to 16.616M HBAR. Price action ranged from a low of 0.067000 to a high of 0.069600, a significant difference of 3.74%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 1.209M HBAR in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 0.067200 to a high of 0.068200, a 1.47% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased by 37% to 1.66M HBAR. At this time, Hedera hit a low of 0.067500 with a high of 0.068500, a change of 1.46%.
