The data released by Bureau of Economic Analysis for Personal Consumption Expenditures on 29th January, 2021 has come in at an increase to 0.4% for December 2020. Compared to the previous release for November 2020 at 0.1%, we can see that prices & inflation is increasing month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of HBAR's price during the PCE release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 34.944M HBAR with prices swinging between 0.085630 and 0.091540, representing a swing of 6.46%. Subsequently, the trading volume decreased by 24% to 26.633M HBAR. Price action ranged from a low of 0.086040 to a high of 0.090300, a difference of 4.72%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 1.383M HBAR in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 0.088420 to a high of 0.089370, a 1.06% change. Immediately following, trading volume remain relatively similar at 1.395M HBAR. At this time, Hedera hit a low of 0.088500 with a high of 0.089660, a change of 1.29%.
