HBAR Volatility Analysis for PCE, 31st August 2023

The data released by Bureau of Economic Analysis for Personal Consumption Expenditures on 31st August, 2023 has come in at a decrease to 0.1% for July 2023. Compared to the previous release for June 2023 at 0.2%, we can see that prices & inflation is still increasing but slowed month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of HBAR's price during the PCE release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 24.975M HBAR with prices swinging between 0.052800 and 0.053800, representing a swing of 1.86%. Subsequently, the trading volume increased considerably by 95% to 48.722M HBAR. Price action ranged from a low of 0.051800 to a high of 0.053800, a significant difference of 3.72%

15-Minutes Chart Analysis

Analysing on a lower time frame to get a more accurate picture, 1.126M HBAR in trading volume was observed prior to the data release. Prices ranged between a low of 0.053300 to a high of 0.053600, a 0.56% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased by 36% to 1.53M HBAR. At this time, Hedera hit a low of 0.053400 with a high of 0.053700, a change of 0.56%.
