The data released by Bureau of Labor Statistics for Producer Price Index on 16th February, 2023 has come in at an increase to 0.4% for January 2023. Compared to the previous release for December 2022 at -0.3%, we can see that prices & inflation is increasing month over month.

To see the impact and volatility of ADA's price during the PPI release, we will first observe the difference in volume and price changes on the 4-hours chart, followed by the 15-minutes chart. Change in prices will be be determined by the high and low prices instead of the opening and closing prices.

4-Hours Chart Analysis

In the period prior to the release, the trading volume was 21.135M ADA with prices swinging between 0.4019 and 0.4084, representing a swing of 1.59%. Prices ranged between a low of 0.4033 to a high of 0.4056, a 0.57% change. Immediately following, trading volume increased significantly by 121% to 3.746M ADA. At this time, Cardano hit a low of 0.4007 with a high of 0.4057, a significant change of 1.23%.
